Red Bull Monte Descend biking competition at Tremblant

Cross-country and downhill in the pedestrian village: 40 teams will race in Mont Tremblant during the Red Bull Monte Descend!

Wanted: downhill and cross country riders

On May 22, 2010, 40 teams of mountain bikers will hit Mont Tremblant for a 90 minutes race through the resort village, facing challenging obstacles such as jumps, stairs, ramps, trails and of course timing.

Biking race

40 teams maximum, each team must be composed of one downhiller and one cross-country rider.

Starting at 8:30 p.m. from the south base (Onesime area), cross country athletes will get to their bikes Le Mans style; running to Place St-Bernard for a first pedal push.

Bikers will make their way through the village and the forest returning to Place St-Bernard to relay with their partner who keeps going with the downhill part of the race from the St-Bernard pitch returning to the village, where their teammate will be waiting for them to start the next lap.

And if it wasn't enough, another component will challenge the cross country participants as the forest trails will be getting darker and darker as night sets in.

Winning team

A race against the clock and 90 minutes of navigating through a demanding course, the team with the most completed laps will be crowned champ of Red Bull Monte Descend. The winning teams will share $10 000 in prize and money.
