These are the main artists and band that will play on the stage of the Loto-Québec stage, Saturday nights:
Yves Lambert's in the zone with the Bébert Orchestra putting on thrilling performances with their own adventurous flair. The time could never be better to celebrate humanity and people getting together to have a good time. They present a creative and exciting show with contemporary therapeutic reels and updated versions of traditional songs.
Jonas is back this year to fire things up as the veteran Buckwheat Zydeco celebrates 30 years of touring at the 16th Tremblant International Blues Festival.
After starting out as a bass player in the group La Chicane, Dany Bédar began a very successful career as a solo artist. Not only was he one of the most popular singers in Quebec, he was considered by his peers to be one of Quebec's best songwriters with 12 number one songs on the hit list.
Boogie Wonder Band was created in 1996 by Boogie Cindy and her group's passion for disco music from the Seventies and Eighties. Boogie Wonder Band immediately became a cultural benchmark in the world of Disco, recognized and appreciated by the very artists who wrote the songs in their repertoire.
The Respectables are a benchmark in Quebec's music history. After nearly 20 years, their music is constantly playing on radios in Canada, and each show guaranteed to be a party where the audience sings along with songs from all of their albums. With their energy and melodies supported by electric guitars, The Respectables show off their talents on stage and give the audience a musical experience that can be listed amongst the greats in Rock n 'Roll.
One of the two founders of the group DobaCaracol presents her new solo project called Caracol. This accomplished artist who has acquired a large amount of experience while touring with Dobacaracol, offers up a first album that is both intimate and moving entitled, L'arbre aux parfums. Her music is loaded with pure emotion and is inspired by New French music, folk and sounds from around the world.
Group members Justine Laberge and David Bussières unveil their first album, Lever l'ancre (Lift up the anchor). This retro and sunshine groove style music reflects the duo's personality which at times is deep and poetic and at other times lively and colourful. When in concert, Alfa Rococo takes it to a new level performing with high-energy and emotion.
On January 16th, Antoine Gratton launched his 3rd album, Le Problème avec Antoine. The launch was held at Montreal's National in front of hundreds of supporters. The critics all agreed - this album is a must for your CD collection.
