Mont-Tremblant, September 18, 2006 – On September 24, nature-loving families meet at the foot of Mont Tremblant to walk, run or cycle to the top during the Tremblant Grand Prix of Colours. This activity brings together participants of all ages and levels in an atmosphere of friendly competition, and each edition brings new challenges and exploits, as one team once proved by climbing the mountain with a refrigerator! There are also activities and competitions for the tiny tots as well as the teens. Winners will receive prices and medals.
Symphony of colours
Until October 15, Tremblant holds its traditional Symphony of Colours and visitors are welcome admire the mountain ablaze in reds, yellows and oranges. They will be able to ride the panoramic gondola which will be in operation every day till Sunday, October 15. It is the ideal time to head up to the summit of Mont Tremblant and enjoy the unrestricted, breathtaking view of the surrounding Laurentians from the 360° observation tower. It's also a great occasion to try Acrobranche, an obstacle course in the woods, 30 feet above the ground. Otherwise, check out the luge with its track going down the mountain side, or play golf on Le Diable or Le Géant, both stunning at this time of the year.
Autumn is also the perfect time to take advantage of Tremblant's pedestrian village, with its lively shop-lined streets and many restaurants, bars and cafes, each one with its own unique personality. Tremblant's fall program also includes free outdoor concerts on the stages of Place Saint-Bernard and Place Deslauriers..
Finally, the season wraps up as Tremblant celebrates Halloween when the witches swoop in on October 28. Free activities are planned for guests of all ages, including trick-or-treating and a costume ball!
