Les Rythmes Tremblant offers free outdoor concerts that let you hear your favorite artists in a festive and relaxed atmosphere. Dance to the beats of various musical styles such as country, disco, Latin and funk. A party for the whole family in the heart of Tremblant’s village!
Mentana revolves around the gravelly voice and driving guitar of Robin-Joël Cool, an Acadian of unusual background, along with the delicate piano and angelic voice of Viviane Audet. The rhythm section—made up of drummer Yannick Parent and bassist Erik West-Millette (West Trainz)—moves languorously on some tracks and charges ahead at full throttle on others. Mentana’s show, which weaves together songs from the new French-language album with songs from previous albums, is a true epic. The songs are enriched by Robin-Joël’s vivid and entertaining stories—he has also confirmed his comedic talent through his character Stéphane in the series Temps de chien, broadcast on ICI Radio-Canada Télé. Whether recounting the tale of his witch-accountant mother, his bohemian cowboy grandfather Sandy, his first St-Jean-Baptiste celebration at age 15 while down with chickenpox on the Plains of Abraham, or a life-changing encounter with a great astronaut, Robin-Joël and Mentana take audiences on a surprising musical journey that is both heartfelt and humorous, somewhere between a music concert and a comedy show. Mentana’s new show is both a grand celebration and an exhilarating escape.
