Philippe Le Bon
Philippe Le Bon is a composer, pianist, and multi-instrumentalist whose career has spanned over ten years on the international stage. Trained in composition at the Université de Montréal and specialized in film and television scoring at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, he has focused primarily on commissioned works. His creations cover a wide range of disciplines — cinema, dance, circus, theater, and figure skating — allowing him to collaborate with renowned artists and creators worldwide. He has notably worked as an orchestrator for Cirque du Soleil and composed for high-profile artistic productions.
As a pianist, he has stood out through his talent for improvisation, revisiting well-known works with a distinctive personal touch. He is currently preparing a solo piano album, blending original compositions with selected reinterpretations.
In film, he is engaged in innovative projects, including virtual reality and interactive cinema in collaboration with director Thierry Loa. His score for 20-22 OMEGA (2018) was praised as one of the most remarkable original soundtracks in Quebec cinema. Winner of the First Prize at the Montreal International Film Scoring Competition in 2015, he continues to develop a musical language shaped by the fusion of influences and a constant search for profound and immersive auditory experiences.
